Making a Law
Course Description:
"Making the Law" is a 12-week immersive project-based seminar that aims to empower students with a comprehensive understanding of American government, civil rights, and global citizenship.
Through engaging activities like a legislative simulation and inquiry-based research, students will explore the foundations of the American government, the constitutional tension between protecting individual rights and promoting the common good, and the importance of civic engagement in addressing local and global challenges. This seminar aims to foster critical thinking, civic responsibility, and a broader perspective on citizenship in a democratic society.
